Policies, Procedures, & Fees
To become a Nanotechnology Center user, you must be approved and/or certified) by NCUALR.
Prior to approval (certification) ALL applicants/users must complete and submit these forms:
- Nanotechnology Center at UALR Project Proposal Form (PDF)or Project Proposal Form (MsWord)
- Nanotechnology Center at User Information Form (PDF) or User Information Form (MsWord)
Users from outside of UALR must also complete the:
- User Institutional Approval section within the User Information Form above
Note: Non-UA system users must also carry proof of Accidental Insurance from their institution/organization/company
Users must also be very familiar with the UALR health and safety regulations prior to using the NCUALR facility :
- NCUALR Safety Manual (work in progress)
- Radiation Safety Manual (PDF)
- Chemical Safety Manual (PDF)
- NCUALR Biological Safety Manual (work in progress)
All users are also required to complete the UALR General Laboratory Safety Training or Nanotechnology Center Laboratory Safety Training Certification Program
Licensed users must be certified by the qualified Center staff before the users can access an instrument. The Center staff also provides guidance, consultation, and collaboration in the analysis of materials. In some cases, additional training may be required. Check with the Center staff for required training on specific instrumentations.
